Calcium Hypochlorite 70% (HTH / Cal Hypo) is a high-potency dry chlorine donor containing 70.0% minimum available chlorine. Produced via the advanced sodium process, it dissolves rapidly to liberate active hypochlorous acid (HOCl) that destroys pathogenic bacteria, viruses, algae, and protozoa in drinking water and swimming pools.
White granular solid with a strong chlorine odor. Sodium-process formulation yields lower insoluble residue (<2.5%) and higher chemical stability than traditional bleaching powder.
Supplied in original sealed UN-certified 45kg drums. Follow strict storage separation from flammable solvents and acids.
Store in cool, dry, well-ventilated dedicated hazardous chemical stores below 30°C. Keep away from heat, open flames, acids, ammonia, and organic chemicals. Never mix dry Cal Hypo with trichlor/dichlor pool tablets or acids.
DANGER: Strong oxidizer; contact with organic material may cause fire. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. Harmful if swallowed. Very toxic to aquatic life. Wear chemical goggles, face shield, nitrile gloves, and dust mask.
Eye Contact: Immediately flush with water for 20 min. Skin Contact: Wash with water. Swallowed: Rinse mouth, drink water, seek immediate medical care.
